Clinical Supervison
Finding right supervisor
Having the right clinical supervision is vital for all therapists. We need it as part of our ethical right to practice and our personal and professional development. I recognise that this relationship is just as important as the ones we have with our clients. I have supervised both qualified and trainee psychotherapists and counsellors for over 10 years. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others, as well as learning from my “supervisees” while they grow as therapists themselves.
Professional development
In order for you to continue to work ethically and develop your skills, I provide honest feedback, clinical support and a place for you to reflect on the work you are doing with your clients. I am happy to provide any reports you may need, as well as help with BACP accreditation applications. As a psychotherapy tutor I can also support you in your case studies & academic essays if you are still in training.
My approach
My approaches are mainly humanistic, i.e. existential, person-centred and psychodynamic – working predominantly with transference. I am able to supervise those who work short term and long term.
